ERP for your Business

Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP is a category of business solutions to handle all data and processes of a business in one single system. I have done some research on software review web sites and found multiple reviewing Sage Accpac ERP and CRM. One of the best reviews I found of was here . It reviewed Sage Accpac on multiple different levels including:

  • Ease of Use/Transaction Entry

  • Modules & Notable Features

  • Integration/Import/Export

  • Reporting

  • Support/Training/Help System

  • Relative Value

All of these categories received 5 stars. I think the key thing is the extensive netork of resellers offering Accpac Support, making this one of the best accounting software systems out there.

Sage Accpac CRM

There has been a very large increased interest in Customer Relatioship Management (CRM) software in the last few years. A lot of companies have capitalized on this movement, some going from small companies with revenues of $200 thousand to $200 million. Sage Accpac CRM is one of the more prominent of the CRM softwares, especially with its ability ot integrate fully with Sage Accpac ERP and Miscroft Office Suites. The number one reason businesses lose sales is there is no follow up cycle. CRM helps you do just that. Not only are you reminded to follow up but you have right in front of everything you need to know about the customer. I have to note, one of the biggest problems with CRM systems is, they are not used appropriately. The users don't take the time to write in the valueable informaiton about the client and therefore there is lost of knowledge and possibly efficiency. If you are using Accpac ERP then Sage Accpac CRM is the way to go. Sage Accpac CRM is also a great stand alone product, definetly worth looking into, especially if you need to increase sales this year and who doesn't.

Sage Accpac ERP is an accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for small to medium sized businesses. Sage Accpac ERP is very reliable and an extremely mature software, with the latest release being v5.4. One important feature is that it has the ability to need only a browser (i.e. Internet Explorer) on the workstation to use the software. As Sage is large company it means the software will be around for a long time with regular updates and quick bug fixes. Sage Accpac CRM is a great Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software that integrates with Sage Accpac ERP and allows you to handle your customer and marketing needs. On top of other sage products that integrate with Accpac ERP there is an extensive amount of third party products to allow you to get whatever it is that you need for your business out of your ERP software solution. Further, accpac allows you to make custom reports with crystal reports and has been known for its ease when working with finacial reports. Again, this is another reason why small business partners that support accpac are useful; most know all the products and customizations availble and supply apporpriate training. Essentially Accpac ERP is one of the few high quality accounting softwares on the market and has a healthy community of third party developers, accounting support forums and business partners available.

This blog is an attempt to review all accouting software systems available to businesses. Each week a specialist in the field of a specific business software will review the financial and accounting software and tell all the positives and negatives for that system, what business would benefit from using this system and the average cost of deployment. As each post will be posted by a specialist I it should be in depth enough to be useful but also in terms executive, business decisions makers and managers will be able to understand, knowing that not all of us are fluent in the language of accounting. The bottom line here is to figure out what is the best solution for your business. To this means each post should be accompanied by a case study of the best fit example for that software.
